Technical sportswear is not designed to be washed like regular clothing. The membranes that make a jacket windproof, the fibres that wick moisture, the treatments that regulate temperature - all of these can be degraded by standard detergents over repeated washes. Tangent GC built the Sportswear Detergent specifically around this problem: a formula that cleans effectively while preserving the technical properties of synthetic and blended fabrics. The Triethyl Citrate neutralises odours at the molecular level rather than masking them. The Clover fragrance - fresh, green, clean - is light enough not to interfere with the fabric's breathability.
Most detergents - even gentle ones - are formulated with everyday fabrics in mind. The Delicate Detergent starts from a different premise: the garments most worth caring for require a different approach. Wool and silk are protein-based fibres - the same enzymes that make a detergent effective on everyday stains gradually degrade their structure over repeated washes, causing pilling, loss of softness and irreversible fibre damage over time. By removing enzymes entirely, Tangent GC built a formula that cleans without that risk - the same clean plant-based chemistry, specifically validated for the fibres that don't forgive a wrong wash. The Yuzu fragrance - brighter and lighter than Kiyomi - feels like a natural extension of that care.
